What Are The Customisable Elements Of A Trophy?

A trophy top needs a solid foundation to avoid toppling over. A lightweight award can feel incomplete, while a sturdy base adds weight and significance to the presentation. These are the three distinct layers to think about for your custom Trophy:

1. Figurine: The main event, such as a metal cup, a resin figure or a crystal topper.

2. Column: The central support that provides height and visual interest to the award.

3. Base: The anchor; it provides stability and a surface for your personalised engraving plate.

How To Choose Trophy Bases In South Africa

Picking the right stand is about balance. You don’t want a heavy crystal cup on a tiny plastic base or a small medal topper on a massive block of marble. It is all about proportion. Use this guide to match trophy stands in South Africa to your award:

Match the weight: Large, heavy metal cups need substantial bases like our B6 to prevent tipping.
Consider the environment: Indoor corporate awards look sharp on black crystal bases, while sports events often stick to durable black plastic.
Check the plate size: Make sure your base has enough flat surface area to fit the engraving plate comfortably without looking cluttered.

How To Pair Bases With Trophy Toppers

Trophy Empire has a variety of trophy bases for sale in South Africa. A great award comes down to picking a base that complements your trophy. Here are a few ways we like to mix and match our stock:

Black Crystal Bases (B13): Pair these with our crystal trophies for a premium, heavy look that sits perfectly on executive desks.
Marble Bases (B12): These provide a classic, high-end feel for steel trophies and traditional cups; the weight makes them feel expensive.
Black Plastic Bases (B20): These are the workhorses of the trophy world. Pair them with our steel or plastic figures for school events where durability matters most.
